     William Bradford was born on 14 August 1760 in Fauquier County, Virginia. He married Catherine Morgan, daughter of Simon Morgan and Margaret Darnall, on 3 October 1792 in Fauquier County, Virginia, USA.1,2 He died on 20 July 1831 in Sumner County, Tennessee, USA, at age 70.3

In the name of God Amen! I, William Bradford, being weak in body, but sound mind and memory, do make and constitute this my last Will and Testament, as follows: after my just debts are discharged.

Primo: I give and bequeath my man Stephen, forty seven years old to my loving and affectionate wife Nancy, to her and her heirs forever.

Item: I give and bequeath to my son, C----- P. Bradford, a negro boy named Steve to him and his heirs

Item: I give the land where on I now live considered one hundred and sixty acres, to wife Nancy, during her life and then to be sold and an equal division of the money amongst all my children.

Item: I give and bequeath to my wife Nancy, a negro woman named Harriett to her and her heirs forever.

Item: My wish and desire is, that all the appurtenances of the plantation, to wit; the stock of every sort, the plantation, utensils, household and kitchen furniture, may be like the land, for the use of my wife Nancy, during her lifetime.

Item: The residue of my negroes five in number, to be for the discharge of my just debts and the remainder of the money to be divided among all my children.

The last Will and Testament of William Bradford dec'd, was exhibited in open Court for probate and duly proved agreeable to Law, by the oath of Jno. Caulfield and James M. Gray, the subscribing witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded and therefore Nancy Bradford, Presley Bradford the Executrix and Executor therein named, appeared in Court and agreed to take upon themselves the Execution, thereof, and with James M. Gray and Jno. Caulfield their securities entered into and acknowledged their bond to the Governor in the sum of Four Thousand Dollars, conditioned as the Law directs and took oath of Executors prescribed by Law.
