     Obituary: Mrs. Geo. A. Nickerson Dies: The death of Mrs. George A. Nickerson occurred at her home in Heyworth yesterday morning at 9 o'clock. Mrs. Nickerson had been afflicted with diabetes, but her last illness was only of a few days duration, and her death came as a shock to her relatives and friends. The deceased was born in eastern Indiana, June 26, 1847, and in her childhood removed with her parents to Livingston county, where the family resided for a short time and then took up their residence east of Heyworth in Downs township. Her maiden names was Malinda Annie Johnson and on January 14, 1869, she was united in marriage to G. A. Nickerson. To this union were born six children, five of whom survived. One son Everett, preceded the mother in death July 1 1890, being 16 years of age at the time of his death. The husband and five adult children survive. The children are James A. Nickerson of the state of Washington; Thomas W. Nickerson of Francesville. Ind; Richard O. Nickerson, of Canada; Mrs. S. L. Reeder and Mrs. Myrtle Clem, of Heyworth. There are also thirteen grandchildren. Deceased was the oldest of a family of eleven children, there being eight brothers and three sisters. One brother, Thomas N. Johnson, of Kansas City, Mo., died four years ago and one sister, Mrs. Mollie Passwaters, of Greenwood, Mo., died in September. The surviving brothers and one sister are as follows, George, Richard M., Charles W., and Albert W. Johnson, of Cass county, Mo., Albert E., of Bloomington; J.A. of South Downs, and W.R. Johnson of this place; the surviving sister, Mrs. J.M. Myres resides at Rockford. Mrs. Nickerson had spent practically her entire life in this immediate community, where shis is mourned by a host of friends and acquaintances. She had been a lifelong member of Heyworth Christian church. Her's was an indulgent, home-loving life, scattering deeds of kindness and tender care in the pathway of all. Funeral arrangements have not been announced.12
