     Obituary: Owen J. Burness, widely known organist, died at his home in Germantown yesterday in his seventy-eighth year. Mr. Burness had served as leader of several bands and orchestras, among them the Phildalphia Municipal Band, and had been organist and choirmaster for the Second Baptist Church of Germantown and for Mary Commandery, Knights Templar. During the last eleven years he has also been mucial director at Christ Protestant Episcopal Church in Germantown. He was a member of several Masnic bodies. Surviving are a widow, Mrs. Clara Thorpe Burness, and two sons, Frederick A. and Percy T. Burness.10
