Thirty years ago he married Miss Mary Crotsley, who survives him with the following children: Joseph and Robert, of Newark, and Miss Annie, who lives at home. Mr. Burness' place of nativity was Roxborough, a suburb of Philadelphia, where he was born on December 22, 1850.
