She died on 17 November 1921 in 17 Bayside Place, Jersey City, Hudson County, New Jersey, USA, at age 52. She was buried on 20 November 1921 in Bay View Cemetery, Jersey City, Hudson County, New Jersey, USA.

     Maud Adela Ebsworth Howells was born on 16 February 1903. She was the daughter of John William George Howells. She married John Clarke, son of John Clarke and Jessie Burness, on 4 July 1928 in St Clears, Carmarthen, Wales. She died on 1 November 1990 in Mid Glamorgan, Wales, at age 87.
