He departed this life on December 4, 1951, at his home in Remington, Indiana. He was united in marriage to Florence Renck, November 28, 1906. To this union were born six children, Leonard McClure, of Fowler, Oliver McClure, Wolcott, Mrs. Lillie Schoultz, Remington, Indiana, Lula McClure, Rensselaer, Floyd McClure, Rensselaer, Ind. One son died in infancy. He lived on a farm in Gilboa Township until eight years ago when he retired to the present home in Remington. He had been in poor health for several years, but was always ready with a helping hand to help any one in need. He was a member of the Old Fellow Lodge. He leaves to mourn his loss five children, nine grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Lena White of Harrison, Ohio, Mrs. Alma Meyers, Reading, Ohio, Mrs. Myrtle Seaman, Germantown, Ohio, two brothers, Charley of Hamilton and George of Harrison, Ohio. Also a host of other relatives and friends. His wife, Florence preceded him in death November 13, 1951.2
