     Walter R. Burness (son, age 5) was enumerated in the census on 26 April 1910 in 144 North 24th Street, Camden, New Jersey, USA, in the household of Frank A. Burness.2 Walter R. Burness (son, age 16) was enumerated in the census on 17 January 1920 in 144 North 24th Street, Camden, New Jersey, USA, in the household of Frank A. Burness. He was a shop yard healer boy.3

     Obituary: BURNESS, WALTER R., 94, of Marmora, on December 11, 1998 at his home. Born in Bristol, PA, he has lived in Philadelphia and Ocean City before moving to Marmora. Mr. Burness was a conductor on the Pennsylvania Railroad in Philadelphia for 46 years before his retirement in 1969. He was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Marmora and had been a local painter. Surviving are a daughter: Alberta V. Seto of Marmora and four grandchildren. A Graveside Service will be offered Saturday, December 19, 1998 in Lawnview Cemetery, Rockledge, PA at ten o'clock. The family suggests those who desire send memorial contributions to Ranch Hope For Boys, Alloway, NJ 08001. Arrangements by The Godfrey Funeral Home of Palermo.5
