Obituary: Chester Nuss, 65, Dies Unexpectedly in Logan Twp. Services for Chester Nuss, lifelong resident of Logan township, were held at the Lutz funeral home, Harrison, Sunday at 2:30 p.m., the Rev. James Austin, pator of the Bright Methodist church, conducting the services. Burial was in the Nuss family lot in Gibson cemetery, Bright. The son of Jacob and Althera Runnells, he was born in Logan township, Oct. 26, 1889, and lived his entire life in the home where he passed away very suddenly Thursday evening, Sept. 9. He had been in failing health for more than a year with a heart ailment but his condition had apparantly not been worse in recent months. The day of his death he had been in Sunman to see his doctor and in the evening was better than usual, partaking of a good evening meal but at eight o'clock the end came without warning. November 27, 1912, he was united in marriage with Rosalie Fries of near New Trenton. The widow, one sister Katherine, Mrs. George Dole, and a niece, Mrs. Minnie Koons, both of Harrison are the survivors. Mr. Nuss had a wide circle of friends and acquaintances, who called at the fueral home and attended the services Sunday to pay their last respects. The Rev. Austin in his sermon remarked that when one was in need, Chester was there to help. Pallbearers who carried the remains to his last resting place were John Reilly, Albert Calvert, Floyd White, Wilson Clark, Edwin Southard and Grover Sefton. Mr. Nuss was a lifelong subscriber and reader of the Lawrenceburg Register, and his parents before him.12
