She was born June 6, 1885, in Miami County, to John P and Mary Catheryn Hazen Heater. She was married in February, 1905, in Winamac to Ernest Chester Clements, who died June 17, 1952. She had lived in Knox for two years, having spent most of her life in the Winamac area. She was a homemaker and attended area Methodist churches. Surviving are five daughters, Lyda Bridegroom, Knox, Hazel Fitz, Thelma Lebo, Pauline Hall, and Mary Haschel, all of Winamac; two sisters, Zada Swartz, Monticello, and Evelyn Thompson, Florida; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. A daughter, a son, and several brothers and sisters preceded in death. Services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday in Frain Mortuary, with Jeff Swartzell officiating. Burial will be in Winamac Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.8
