Pennsylvania, where he was a weaver. My ggggg-grandfather, John Johnson (c1700-c1769) lived in Germantown, Philadelphia
County, Pennsylvania. In 1769, his four elder sons, Casper, Nicholas, Benjamin and Joseph, sold their father's land in Germantown
to his youngest son, my gggg-grandfather, William Johnson (1731-1800). My ggg-grandfather, Casper Johnson (1789-1837)
moved to Dearborn County, Indiana, where he purchased land from the US government in 1817, which he farmed until his death.
His daughter, Catharine Johnson (1819-1888) married George Runnels in 1833.
